Tell me about a story I haven't written and I'll write you one sentence from it.

Perhaps more.

(Why? Cuz I'm being responsible today and editing and I need some funs. Also, it's hot as a muthafukah and I'm in Nor Cal and it's not supposed to get this hot here *whine*).

still tapping away

Sir Marvell did not much attempt the fashion either, but Sir Marvell did not attempt much in the way of courtesy toward his guest, ignoring overtures and refusing to speak the man’s language, foisting James on the nobleman rather than escorting him around the town himself. If Etienne Saint-Cyr noticed this rudeness, he had yet to speak of it, at least, not directly.

There was very little directness in the actions and words of Etienne Saint-Cyr. James did not think he had learned much about the French in his months as a captive, but the curious indirectness about all matters save the carnal seemed to be the custom of all of them. They acted as though the speaking the truth of their desires would bring them harm.

It was no use questioning the strange habit, he had learned that too, out following Saint-Cyr on another night of almost feverish debauchery, his curiosity had only earned him a gentle pat on his cheek.

“Enfant précieux.” Etienne had leaned against him to whisper, his breath ripe with wine, his eyes growing dark and his lips flattening before he had turned away.

and...Silence answered that, and James finally took his gaze from the impatient teams of horses to look at Etienne, who was looking back at him.

“And do you think thieves have honour, James?” He used his first name deliberately James was sure, testing him or perhaps simply because he could. James had only dared to address him as Etienne when the other man had been far into his cups. Drunk, the laughter fell easily from Etienne’s lips, his ever-posing body would suddenly collapse into lazy greed, his hands curling into James’ side as James held him steady, his skin warm from a good fucking.

Re: still tapping away

If his orientation is still an issue, you might add that James can smell the cheap perfume of a whore off him. But don't change the last line because it's perfect.

Mon dieu, I love these boys.

I was just telling Kittie how odd it is that Etienne really is barely in the story but he has all this backstory and stuff that I just assume people know.

*sigh*

Remember, how I thought there needed an additional scene between Etienne and James so that we understand their relationship better? I think a scene in a whore house would be PERFECT! You've already established that James vists whorehouses (I think in this chapter even, don't you?), so we won't be shocked by his accompanying Etienne to one. I'd love to see you write a scene with two the of them lounging around in some parlor, made up women to the right and left, Etienne dressed in some ridiculous French finery, James in his yellow suit. All the women flocking to Etienne, because it's clear whose got the purse filled with coin. James getting attention from the third-rate whores, poxy, Etienne being magnimous and paying for both of them. James protesting. Etienne making fun of him. James picking a dark slender whore...

Oh yes, please write THIS.

Perfect for the story? or just perfect or our pervy wank fantasies? heh.

Did you watch Eastern Promises yet? I don't think it'd be as creepy as that scene where the Russian mobster's son forces the guy to have sex with the whore and then watches, but it would definitly be equally gay.
