Has anyone out there ever been to a con? I mean...not devoted to one show/comic/anime but, say, a huge fangeek crazy con for one idea/theme/genre? Like not for Star Trek...but for Sci-fi...etc... I am curious about these things...not that I would go, but would like a description from an insider as well as just the semi-casual visitor. Aside from seeing other pervs face to face, what is the point? Or is that the point?

My anxiety levels have been ridiculously high lately. I am not pleased. This is what I get for having a sober holiday. ...can't...calm...down...

New original fic rec...quite hot, in a messy boys making out kind of way. I likes it. Snogging Emo Boys by Bexless. Heh.

For other original fic, I was going to absorb Charmingly Carnal over the next few days, but the link I have isn't working. So either I typed it wrong, or it has moved... *whine*

Fixed links to Sacrilege (Holmes/Watson webpage). Added new misc recs, new misc anime recs, and new Vorkosigan recs.

I pulled it down for re-tooling. I can throw stuff back up XD What were you looking for? Saranna's piece?

Charmingly Carnal's been down for some time, yeah. (At least, the link I have is, and it's www.charminglycarnal.com. That your link?)

I'll let you know if I find it elsewhere.

Whoops! Never mind; it seems that one of the site's creators replied to you! Yay. :D

[livejournal.com profile] lainy122 and I went to Continuum thi year and we had a blast. It was a generic sci-fi/fantasy con but it had some great guests (Neil Gaiman and Poppy Z Brite, anyone?), really interesting panels, and there was always something on or people to chat to. It was the first con we'd ever been to and we thought it was awesome. Of course, not sure if most cons are that well run, and most I guess wouldn't have high-profile guests for that added sheen. Most of the people we met were perfectly fine and not pervs at all *g*

well i have no objections to pervs...just crowds in general. but organized is good. i hate unorganized events (sister's wedding *cough*).
