It occurred to me about halfway through updating this post that maybe some people won't have finished reading IOS when they read this. So I made a spoilers warning and I'll do a cut.
Keeping in mind this thing has been a WIP for about three years now, and that once a chapter is written, I generally don't look at it again for months (weird love/hate thing...I cast thee from me, demon!). So as I'm approaching the ending now *gasp* I kept having questions and had to reread a few chapters.
WOW. A lot happened so far. I'd forgotten some things. The chapter in which Rene kills Marechal...that made me sick to read. Really. I feel vaguely ill to think on it. And I'm not talking awkward sentences or typos ill, it just sickened me. My stomach is all knotted now. Ahhh and I glanced at the frottage on the desk chapter...which is still oddly hot. Which is good I suppose, since normally once I'm done writing the porn it's no longer hot to me. I just find it strange, how attached I am to them. Wondering if others find it as compelling (yes, Pooky and pir8fancier will have something to say on that, I'm not fishing though :P). It's such cheese. But rereading scenes just about killed me.
Hmmm. I am such the drama queen today. Ne Ne's influence. "he was dying of this" haha that line makes Pooky laugh. I ought to skim over Chapter 7 to cheer myself up. That part is something I realize much later was actually my drunk ass. Getting shit in my hair. Though not nearly that rude...I think. *grins*
Anyway, so last night I read a manga version of a yaoi novel. Apparently a very, very popular one. And I could see why...it was so...*sighs*. Cheesy and sappy and romantic and I bought it, hook, line, and...you know the rest. (And no crying, annoying ukes, thank you very much). And it reminded me of the boys, though I couldn't say why. I think just the absolute shameless romantic cheese of it all. (It's called "Only the Ring Finger Knows" for those interested.) It made me really want to someday see the cheese of IOS in drawn form. Then I could try to read it and pretend I hadn't written it, and sigh in rapturous surprise. Or something.
Back to IOS, I has a question. In what chapter does James say, "I would kiss thee as well". Rene refers to it when he's spreading his legs for James on the desk in Sir Marvel's house like a total slutbunny but what chapter is it in earlier? Anyone recall? I suck at author.
MARTINIS!!!!!!!!!!!! Which, glancing back at the willowflower.net forum,
pir8fancier once promised to bribe me with if I would post more chapters. haha. And chocolate.

I just got notified about your comment! Argh, LJ and its mysterious ways.
Thanks so much for continuing IOS! By the way, could you tell me if "Like Fire and Water" will also continue? I've been obsessing over that one for ages...

You have also, as far as I'm aware, written the hottest bath scene in history. The firelight! The rug! The massage/molestation! The thwarted lust! The denial! The... Yeah. Losing coherency now.
