I am cringing. And I am giggling. Horribly, yet terribly excited to find myself looking at old fanfic written in my early days, under a different name. It's so odd. There's plot, and action, and fantasy, and my god, het, detailed graphic kinky het. And all for...I can't even say the fandom, it's so geeky. I miss it.

*cackles*

Still, was first time people *had my shit printed out and bound in book form* so they could travel with it and read it. Wow.

You know...Pooky could embarrass me here, but I don't think she will. She has a stake in that too. My early fandom taught me a lot. I do miss that. Just not the assholes associated with it. I found an article the other day, incredible well-researched, listing the exact origins of slash. Though honestly, counting the Sherlock Holmes people, I would trace it back a bit farther in spirit, if not in art/story form. Anyway...then got random fanletter from old fandom on old email addy. Quite a surprise. It's like people telling me they enjoyed a Mulan story. Ok yeah. Mulan. I miss that too.

Should I read my old het porn? I'm a little scared. Still, the torturefic is amazing. That I wrote it at all. I don't think I could torture Rene. Maybe someone else in a new universe. Hmmm.

I'd be interested in reading that slash article if you've still got the link :-)

oh yes let's see, it was in parts on different pages, so... one is for slash, and one for fanfiction in general.
