another quiz just told me I was Artemis. Well duh. Without the athleticism I suppose. No running around pointlessly and hunting for me. But while I detest the inherent misogyny of most ancient Greek culture, I do like the concept of Artemis, that she had the male equivalent of freedom but was so very feminine. That she was both the deer and the hawk, that she ran around wild but was the protector of maidens and brides. (Not wives, just brides...soon to be ex-maidens I guess). That she was tied to the moon... She was a concerned, decent goddess most of the time, but could be incredibly cold. Especially to men.

And who can blame her? They've been nothing but assholes lately. (Lately meaning the last 3000 years or so apparently).

The image of me prowling around in the woods in a bitty little tunic is pretty damn funny though.

Do you think my icon looks ok? I was going to make it say a line from a Missy Elliot song, but decided on a quote from this article on Titian instead.

so i can have him torn to pieces? i always thought that one was a little harsh. of course, then her brother kills the one lover she did have...little incestuous. ew. oh it's titian's venus of urbino. google it, and it shall be there.
