So my mother, who is the bestest ever, for my birthday, took me to Barnes and Noble and just said, "See if there's something you like."

I now have shiny new books that I have no time to read. But they are mine! Mine!

In other news went to someone else's b-day party last night and found myself very depressed. I don't know if it was because of the party (which was as close to a Bridget Jones singleton experience as I've had in a while, plus exes) or just the fact that I was tired from family visits and birthday stuff, or just seriously deficient in some vitamins on account of so much b-day party drinking.

*sigh*


And I miss having a bajillion icons.

Why would anyone be surprised that the Queen of Sicily would assassinate her unwanted, loser of a husband? My only surprise was that the killing itself was so obvious and clumsy. Maybe it was a message, hanging him off a balcony like that. Not as nicely symbolic as a hot poker up the bum though. Hmmm.

I think I might post Wheel Of Time slash, just because. F-locked though, of course.
