Finished something! Well, small spur of the moment (damn sharpy spurs.) surprisingly cute HH fic for Kittie. Finished one book and started another. 1--Why Girls Are Weird. Because on occasion I like to read cheesy chic lit and I went to Barnes and Nobles last night with friends to get coffee (why else would one go into a bookstore? Books cost a fucking fortune these days anyway...grumble grumble...) Found FAKE manga there btw, however, they only had books 4, 5, 6, no 1, 2, 3, or 7. So perhaps it's online for me.
Why Girls Are Weird was alright. About internet popularity actually, which is always something one must try to keep in prospective. (I think any survivor of a flame war will be fine though. It brings reality back into cyberspace). However, the author had several cute stories in there, including one in which she talks about the sexual things she used to make her Barbies do. Oh yeah. Thank God someone else used to do dirty things with Barbie. (My Ken liked to lick imaginary honey off parts of Barbie's anatomy. He also liked to cross dress. Should have known then, I suppose. Barbie herself just got tied up a lot. Proof that fetishes begin in childhood. Score one for cokehead Freud).

Rene cross-dressed once. In kinky gift to me from Illyana. However, y'all cannot read it until after the whole crappy saga is ended, since it gives things away.

Also started reading Fire From Heaven. Slashy Alexander the Great. Reow.

I am obsessed with that currently. Yet did not go see new movie. Because Oliver Stone is a repressed and self-hating gay man, and until he comes to terms with it, his work will suck.

To put my words in perspective, I have decided to share some thoughts/writings/whatevers that I find funny or inspiring or just fucking beautiful.

None of these are remotely mine, by the way. I can only wish.

From Poems For the Love Challenged. One for Every Occassion. By Pamela Ribon
"14 February

i need you
i want you
i need you
i want you
i need you
i want you
i need you
to shut up.
i want you
to go home. "

oh dear how unromantic of me.

John Dryden
"I strongly wish for what I faintly hope/ Like the day-dreams of melancholy men/ I think and think on things impossible/ Yet love to wander in that golden maze." The dreamy agonizing obsessive heart of all slash. :)

From Greek Song by Rufus Wainwright something that makes me think of Smallville.

"You who were born with the sun above your shoulders/you turn me on you turn me on you have to know/You who were born where the sun she keeps her distance/you turn me on you turn me on but so does she/You who were born there where beauty is existence/You turn me on you turn your body heals my soul/You who where born where you shiver and you shudder/You turn me on the girl is gone so c'mon, let's go."

The whole song "Breathe" by Frou Frou makes me think of Sherlock and Watson for some reason. It's a gender specific song, yet I imagine the same emotion is there (in my head) all that breathless waiting.
"I read you/ God I'm good at it/ I'm so spot on...And you/Breathe it in/Finesse an innocent/ From her partying...I'm high enough from all the waiting..."

le sigh.

Such a romantic underneath all the bitter. tsk tsk.

Actually, any song by Rufus Wainwright has fascinating lyrics.

Oh! Pooks asked for a song that reminds her of Nene and James. Well more Rene specific. I would recommend Fiona Apple, either the Way Things Are or Limp. However, I have to say I love the lyrics to Paper Bag. Cuz Hunger hurts but starving works. :P

Good lord I am insane lately.
