From Greek Song by Rufus Wainwright something that makes me think of Smallville.

The whole song "Breathe" by Frou Frou makes me think of Sherlock and Watson for some reason. It's a gender specific song, yet I imagine the same emotion is there (in my head) all that breathless waiting.
"I read you/ God I'm good at it/ I'm so spot on...And you/Breathe it in/Finesse an innocent/ From her partying...I'm high enough from all the waiting..."
le sigh.
Such a romantic underneath all the bitter. tsk tsk.
Actually, any song by Rufus Wainwright has fascinating lyrics.
Oh! Pooks asked for a song that reminds her of Nene and James. Well more Rene specific. I would recommend Fiona Apple, either the Way Things Are or Limp. However, I have to say I love the lyrics to Paper Bag. Cuz Hunger hurts but starving works. :P
