I'm sorry but her politics and her knocked up daughter aside, if McCain and his people think that women voters just vote for the nearest vagina, then that shows their true opinion of women. And considering how little he vetted her and her (total lack) of qualifications, I'd say she was chosen by virtue of having a Republican vagina and maybe because she wears glasses and thus at least *looks* intelligent.

Every woman on the street ought to spit in McCain's face for thinking of us as that big of idiots, Palin included.

The fact that she doesn't says a lot.

Does he honestly think that I'm just going to go, oh, she has a breasts, finally someone I can relate to, I'll vote for him so that when his old ass dies, some woman, any woman, can be president, regardless of her abilities and experience and beliefs and intelligence?

Fuck off, Old Man.

Thank you for this. I obviously can't vote in this election, but I am bombarded with news about it over here and it's great to hear something other than that gossip shit that sometimes seems to be more important than the issues I would base my vote on.
It's a little sad to assume people (women) who would maybe have voted for Hillary Rodham magically change sides just because there is another woman to 'represent' them.

Of course it's even sadder that you basically only get to chose between two parties, that both are rather conservative from my point of view.

Yeah, both parties suck. There's an excellent bit on "Futurama" when the two candidates are named Jack Johnson and John Jackson and they both say the same things and look the same.

Brillers!

I do not agree with McCain on pretty much anything, but I never thought he was stupid. There are a lot more formidable potential female Republicans out there he could have chosen. This woman is a joke.

Watching New Gingrich trying to defend this decision on the Daily Show last night was pretty awesome. Jon Stewart quite pleasantly poked holes in all his arguments.
