Random Psych-ish thought moment: Psych and Spongebob are really just two versions of the same show. Really. I mean, first of all, Squidward, there's a big clue, and if that doesn't do it for you, he lives in a pineapple under the sea...

In other news, people are idiots and this sucks for everyone. Hang in there and just remember. Someday, you'll be dead and you won't have to deal with their stupid anymore. Of course they'll be dead too, but hopefully, they'll be dead first.

(And random woman--And don't tell me I'm sick for loving the TV show Dexter. You're a dumbass, willfully blind and a-scared of the dark people upper-middle-class, ignorant bitch who takes her privilege for granted. Let's call it even.)

My best friend and I have this thing where we compare ourselves to two characters---it really helps because we work together and we teach kids, so around Halloween, it makes choosing costumes easier. Our first Halloween after meeting, we went as Spongebob and Patrick. I was SB and she was Patrick. The next year, we had already decided that that didn't describe us as well as Mac and Bloo from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends (Yeah, we are in our 20s, but we teach kids, so we don't have to grow up, so NYAH NYAH). At that point we had added Beenie and we were a trio of idiots running around and, you know, teaching the future leaders of our country, so we made her Cheese. By 2007, we had gone through many costumes (Jareth and Sarah from Labyrinth--I stuffed TWO pairs down my pants to get that look right, Harry and Ron, and there was one year I wanted to go as the Skittles Berries and Cream guy, but she wouldn't go as a big Skittle....), but we had already noticed something:

We were Gus and Shawn. I mean, it was OOKY how much we were Gus and Shawn. It is a well-documented fact that I have a Super Smeller. I was in the Spelling Bee and I almost won to go to Nationals. My favorite fruit has always been pineapple. I love Tears For Fears with a zeal not known out of 1985. She loves Michael Jackson. She gets into trouble thanks to her mouth, but always gets herself out of it with it, too. She always calls me invite me to step into a big hole of trouble. We ALWAYS take my car. I am the more cautious one and she just doesn't care. I have a real job and I work part time at hers to help her and keep her sane. She almost got us arrested (for something that looked illegal, but was just a practical joke on Beenie), but talked him out of it. She has ADHD, but is on some kind of superpill that makes her remember EVERYTHING. My dad is like Henry Spencer and said to me, and I quote, "Do you know how many kids I have had to scrape up off the sidewalk...." just like Henry did. He is also upset with me that he trained the hell out of me to handle any emergency situation and save lives and stuff and I didn't follow in his footsteps.

So, we decided that I am Gus and she is Shawn.
And Beenie is either the pineapple or Little Boy Cat.

So, it's interesting that you go from SBSP to Psych. But Gus is not Patrick. I think nigeltide is correct: Gus is Gary.
