Ever be reading someone's pr0n for whatever fandom, and suddenly, for no explicable reason, feel like a skeezy, voyeuristic perv? It's not that the pr0n is so much dirtier or kinkier that anything you've read before. And it's not the characters (usually, though I could never read like...John Wayne character porn. I just couldn't)

Kittie and I were debating this the other day and I came to conclusion that, at least for me, this occurs whenever the author breaks character and suddenly it becomes pr0n about them. Suddenly you (I) can no longer suspend disbelief and you (I)are just right there--imagining that this is how this author really has sex.

(And yes, whats the dif between that and imagining the characters screwing? The difference is that the author is *real*)

And I also realized that what especially does it for me is seeing endearments used during said pr0n acts that the fictional people have never used, yet which are just real enough to be actual awkward hot and heavy sex talk. (Cuz you know, nobody talks like people talk during fictional sex...babbling and repetition and stuff...just ain't as hot. Ok well maybe just I don't...Anyway...)

The point being, all this lead to the "Love Muffin" discussion. And this is now my current challenge.

Hmm...

I don't believe too much coherent speak during the action-scenes anyway
Exactly! If the characters are doing their jobs right, nobody should even be capable of rational thought toward the end.

I do do a lot of name repitition though. :)
