Several things/thoughts/freakouts...
Um..I have a fandom. A very small and quiet one. But apparently, it exists. *chews the ends of her hair...something she hasn't done since the age of twelve*. Responded to someone's livejournal and was greeted with amazement and references to autographs... (panic attack). Luckily, when I discovered this, I was well into bottle number two, and just giggled nervously and logged off. (And no, I am not that much of a Rene, I did not drink it all myself).
Do have new purse and new haircut....Much more casual. Cooler. Fun. Distracting from rest of crap...and fans with their expectations.
You know, in general, my limited experience with other fandoms has taught me not to talk to fans too much. They have ideas of you in their heads and at some point, when reality and fantasy become too disparate, they get annoyed. Not that I mean they are all stalkers, just that we imagine people we haven't met to be a certain way...and the internet fandom communities are all about fantasies to begin with.
I teased Pooky about her fandom, but I know she knows the feeling. It's weird.
It did make me giggle all day when I thought of it. In a good way, like when you find a bit of e-praise in your inbox for some story you'd forgotten you'd written. See, amidst the pirate fangroups on the LJ interests, there were some people with Ideas of Sin listed...and the name similiarity caught my attention. Was actually the same thing. oh. OH.
I am silly. Panicking like this. What will I do when it's over anyway? Though IOS started as a standalone bit of porn, and if it hadn't been for Pooks, I would never have written more. I guess I just need to do that again for something else. Something more like the Saga...
Hmmm.
P.S. The first line of the next chapter occurred to me in the car today.
