I have been distracted, I know. What with crack_van and the editing I'm *supposed* to be doing. And also new story that I still haven't really started despite obsessively thinking about it. And I need to write or I'm gonna go mental. Not. Joking.

Then in between all of that, I got sucked into John Adams and Life. Of the two, Life is far more entertaining. Maybe I just find prison fascinating. (Also, for some reason, and I'm probably terribly wrong, I imagine [livejournal.com profile] pir8fancier enjoying that show. Do not ask me why.) John Adams...well I thought it was going to be more about the Revolutionary War, and it wasn't. I mean, really, blah. Only the first two eps were interesting. John Hancock...doing things! Not just signing papers! (Also being cute). Thomas Jefferson as emo, passive-aggressive, sekrit genius! (Also being cute). The rest...John Adams as ambassador...blah. (Though, small Tom Hollander appearance as George III was kind of funny).

Life worth a look. It's really all about Charlie, I'm less interested in the conspiracy and all that. I like seeing his fucked up psychology play out.

And btw, The Mentalist...*again* with the ridiculously old-fashioned dialogue??? Really? If I didn't stumble upon the last half hour of this show upon getting home from work and find it sort of amusing when it tries to be serious, I wouldn't be watching. Why is anyone else?
