it's the day for plot puzzles. firstly...how much to give away about the IOS ending in chapter 21? and currently, how to get Norrington from one side of the desk to the other side, the side where a handcuffed Jack Sparrow awaits? He's a man who hides behind distance. Even if he wanted to, unless Jack outright beckoned I don't think he would get up and walk over...and even then I doubt he would trust Jack. Of course, I could uncuff Jack and have him pounce. Except that that would change the story's planned ending.

It would just...it would take a lot of trust for him to walk to Jack at this point. Unless he had some excuse to do so. hmmmm.

I could just cheese it up. Go with totally fluffy and cute (albeit improbable) reason. Hee!

Actually just thinking about it makes me smile.
