Am very upset with anime in general this week, as things have been weird and funky enough and then they go and play every single episode on every single show where a beloved character dies.
Of course, at the same time, these are the best episodes ever of each show so far. Which is depressing in another sense, in that it makes one, as an artist, feel a little less than. Have always aspired to epic fantasiness, in which great life lessons are learned and characters are slowly developed, and then, at some point, someone must die. I just can't actually *do it*. I would cry forever.
Don't ask me why, btw, I invest so much of my limited scope of feeling into animated people, but I do. Well, not just animated, back when I used to read the Wheel of Time (before it went to shit)and things like that I would cry at character death too. It's about the only time I do cry, PMS aside. I've now cried for Cowboy Bebop, GITS:sac (Tachkoma!), Trigun (which will be on tonight, weep weep), and even FMA. (Why the last one, I don't know exactly, but it reminded me of something).
Several upsides though, on GITS, a fucking amazing episode. Actual moment of feeling and hotness! Het hotness no less. Though it's almost beyond het, as they are cyborgs and can pick any body they like. And then, of course, the rather fabulous quotes from Jan Valentine of Hellsing. Also revived my inspiration to attempt a graphic novel format without the actual graphics. (is crazy).
"You have a few minutes until I fucking kill you. I recommend pissing yourselves, followed by praying to your impotent god."
