this must be the place

This was everything I wanted to say in my tiny blurb of a post. Thank you for putting it in words. I think even grumpy old women have a place in fandom, so we should stay, if only to come together every now and then to talk about the old days and complain about the newbies;) Or to show them how it's done (whether in writing fic or offering constructive criticism or kindly leading them the way towards more in depth stories)
It makes me sad that some people choose to escape from real life to a world that's even more painful.
