While watching Dumbo...

My entire characterization of Stanley Ray Kowalski is, in fact, based on if not out right stolen from, the character of Timothy Q. Mouse.

Not only is that humiliating, (though honestly just a little awesome) but imagine poor Fraser...that makes him Dumbo by default. (And then you think about his *ears* and *being alone with no one to look out for him* and *his mother gone* and his total *freakness* and it's squeeees all around).

(I know, I know, Dumbo = Racist Crows, I know. But I grew up on Dumbo. Don't act like the scene with his mother doesn't make you cry to this day. Plus, bitchy lady elephants, and the pink elephant scene, and in small, pathetic defense of myself, let me just point out that the crows are Dumbo's friends when nobody else is.

I couldn't find any clips of just Timothy, but I did find a Dumbo vid that shouldn't make me so happy, but it does---> Breakaway)

Oh, I turn into a middle aged woman watching a Very Special Touched by an Angel during that scene.

Oh, and damn it all, Brother Bear makes me cry, too (and not just from knowing that I missed Joaquin Phoenix not once, not TWICE, not THREE, but FOUR TIMES in my lifetime (he filmed three movies near in nearby cities and I didn't care back then and I found out that he lived one city over from where I live now...but quite a few years before I moved here).

Stupid girl hormones. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Sniff.

I never watched Brother Bear...but my Joaquin Phoenix crush started back in the Quills days.

A *priest*!!!

And I adore you!

Seriously though, I'm listening to Dumbo as I'm doing something else and I hear the mouse get up in the crow's face, defending Dumbo, and I turn, blinking, sort of startled, and see him, so angry and so little he's bouncing off the ground as he yells. Then I died.

I miss Ray and Fraser. Once I finish the epic crap I'm working on, I have to revisit them.

Yeah, I still need to write that one-sided telephone fic. Given the shit that has characterized fandom lately, I need some of those due South boyz. They are strangely healing.

Yup...pretty much.

Now, I have been told that I resemble Kate Winslet. I could have been her stuntwoman for that role, damn it.

Kate Winslet is my kinky, corset-loving hero. I loves her.

Fraser and Ray are like all comfort. Nick and Greg are like hurt/comfort.

Sometimes though, you just can't bear the hurt part.

Well, that's telling of personalities right there. I mean, you love her and she's strong and kinky and well-versed in playing romantic leads and I love people like Catherine O'Hara and Gilda Radner and Madeline Khan because they are (or, you know, were) because they are wild and funny.

And then you look at our different writing styles...that's kind of cool, actually.

But, yes, Kate is dead sexy.

Oi, speaking of writing, my muse has gone on holiday, damn it. Just when I thought of a really good story...with a, you know, PLOT and everything.

Are you kidding? My Madeline Khan impression is to die for.

Okay, well it's not that good. But still, I look sort of like a librarian, and so I like to suddenly yell out, "Could you please step on the same foot at the same time? My *tits* are falling off!!!" to make people laugh.
