When I watched the performance, I was totally mortified. I just knew she was going to give a great performance. By the end, I was near tears and speechless. It was like you could feel her embarrassment. I have to laugh now about it too.
I'm a little sad, especially when you compare it to her past performances on the VMAs.
Though apparently the story is now she was supposed to do some magic crap with Criss Angel but the producers said no, so the dance act was last minute.
Still, as a professional, she should have stepped it up.
You know, I found this horribly sad. Obviously, this poor girl is bat-shit insane and her handlers want her to make money. What sane person goes on stage with a weave she had done at Supercuts two hours before the show, wearing a bra and a panties when she just spent the last week eating every bag of Cheetos within a 15-mile radius. When she asked if it was a good idea, her handlers nodded vigorously. Because it's not THEIR humliation. She's NUTS and they are taking advantage of her. I know that Sarah Silverman pushes the envelope, that's her schitck. But you know, it's like making fun of someone who has Down's or something. I mean the girl is whacked.
At this point I think she is no longer speaking to her manager/mother (because her mother tried to make her go to rehab. of course, her mother also turned her into the whore that she is now so...)
But I love the Brit. I listen to the Brit (shamefully). She has always been this ignorant piece of trailer trash, but at least she used to *perform*.
I wonder if she was high at the time.
They certainly used enouh other dancers to try and distract from her crazy.
