For those not watching HBO's Rome...really...you ought to be. Really. For flippin' serious. Cuz James Purefoy as Marc Antony is TEH SECKS. Cuz Antony wants to ravish Brutus and Brutus is afraid of just how much he wants it too. Anytime. Anyplace. Cuz Octavian is awesome and soon-to-be-mighty. Cuz Vorenus and Pullo are LOVE in a twisted, violent, chop your head off kind of way. Cuz I'm on Team Atia and not ashamed to say it. And cuz never has the battlecry of Caesar's Thirteenth Legion been so fuckin' romantic when it's torn from a good man's throat as he betrays every oath he's taken and risks death to save his beloved's his best friend's life in the arena.
Yes, the first few episodes are a little slow. And yes, years go by and no one really seems to age in an Epic sort of way. But in the face of such astoundingly fierce and raging manlove does that matter?
