I fail at writer today!!! Ok well I fail at writer for the past two weeks actually! The whole thing needs revision and it doesn't make any sense and Rene is far far too dramatic and that prose is...gaaaahhhso awful!!!

Or perhaps this is just the iced tea talking? *hopes* I have just enough South in my blood that when the weather is nice I need *real* iced tea and lots of it. I think my heart might explode from caffeine.

That's why we lurve him, silly. You can always count on him to have one motherfucker of a hissy fit. Although I must say that his restraint in the chapel with bat-shit insane mama was exceptionally powerful because he didn't wig out. But then James did it for him so it balanced out.

WHOA. Well the last chapter is about half done. The remaining, frustrating half is sitting open with me staring at it right now, all annoyed because Kittie pointed out, rightly, that I set up what's going to happen enough, but not WHY enough.

And shit. That means do I revise previous chapters now or wait until it's all over. And there my brain has stalled. Sorry.

I haven't recced anything in ages. Things seem rather dry or I'm just being pissy. A combination seems likely. Oh, one fic that I liked, although I thought the movie was uber predictable, is this fic by Resonant.

I thought the voice in this was fantastic. This has been around for a while but I read it when I'm having trouble with voice because it upsides me on the head on what is good voice. Super close third person POV that, IMO, works almost like first person but not. Which I think is the ultimate goal of a close third person POV. You get the intimacy of the "I" but the breadth of the "he."
