I can't see now I've typed so much code
UGH. hard at work on recs page to the soothing strains of Barry White. Don't know who's interested, but set up the bare bones of the anime recs page. Posted recs for FullMetal Alchemist slash. Nothing else yet though. Weird formatting errors are gone from my fics as well. Whatever in the hell those were about. Anyone really good with Photoshop want to make an icon for Ideas of Sin? I tried to make a collage of images for Rene...it was alright looking. Not great.
In other news, is blogging detrimental for writers? Does it take away from your build up of Creative Energy to gab on LJ all day? Does it help you write? Article in the SF Chronicle (death to that paper anyway) denounces blogs and the lack of privacy in today's world. Would J.D. Salinger have had a blog in his day? Is it the height of ego to have one, even if you're a published writer just announcing signing tours and book releases? Does the promise of immediacy lure us long-form writers away from our true work and leave us in the No Man's Land of wasted ideas?
I will say that if I talk too much about an idea I lose interest in actually exploring that idea in fiction form. But I tend to view that as a good thing. If I was truly obsessed, then I would write it anyway.

You know, I have all these ideas for fics and for the endings of fics that I've haven't finished and sometimes I think it's because I've ALREADY written these suckers in my brain. I do this before I go to sleep at night and I'm feeling they're already written. Why bother? Which relates to the blog thing. Why bother to write it TWICE!
Oi, screening of POTC is cool with mod of weekend of piratess debauchery. You and Pooky want to join?
