To be a Petrelli male means difficulty keeping your shirt on. (Save us from Arthur ever ripping off his buttons to show us his abs *shudder*).

In other news, it's not often I get excited seeing a female character in chains, but the potential for the scene was great. GREAT. In the classic sense. It's a shame they wasted it.

And Nathan says in his heart of hearts: "Look, Peter, here I am, with you, at your side. I left that trashy blond to be with you...oh...is that...Claire? My daughter who looks nothing like me? Why is she all over yo.... Oh I see... Well... You've chosen this annoying and boring incestuous relationship over our GREAT and TRAGIC and BEAUTIFUL and HOT love affair... I guess I'll just...go back to Nikki/Tracy/Jessica/Whogivesafuck and have lots of confusing and mutually deceitful buttsecks while I angst over leaving you. But obviously you don't care...with your emo flip and your niece/girlfriend that you want to keep "innocent"...

I was never innocent, Peter. You don't need to save me, or spare me. I would have loved you so m... Perhaps I've said too much. I need to go. Now that you've rejected me I have to get ready for Tracy to "seduce" me to the dark side on next week's episode.

Sigh.

I'll be waiting for her, with a tinkling glass of Scotch in my hand and my shirt open to my navel. But I'll be thinking of you.

Nathan Petrelli has no shirt. Nathan Petrelli needs no shirt!

America's first shirtless president. Shirtless 24/7...or the terrorists win.

I would almost go hetero to hear what you think should have happened in that scene.

Well for one thing, make Sylar a good guy? Fine. Have it happen so quickly? Hell no. I would have had him still fighting those urges to kill, still angry about the fact according to his new somewhat random father figure who abandoned him for reasons not yet explained, he's had the power like Peter's this whole time but was urged to kill. And then Elle...who apparently he was sort of almost dating for a second there, but it was all a lie.

That's a lot of anger, especially for someone in killing-rehab, as it were. Oh I would have played that up.

Him suddenly turning martyr? Whatever. And Elle...she was also raised to be a psychopath...then she trusted Noah Bennett, who inexplicably always treated her like crap...and now she can't control her power and in constant pain. (Though, um, couldn't she zap and destroy her chains?)

That scene should have been an hour long or more in itself. And the back and forth should have been intense and awesome.

They put her in chains as bait for Sylar. He had to know that. That they had to know his relationship with her too, that Arthur Petrelli is lying, probably, Sylar had to be aware of all of that too.

But he wanted to control his power, and the urges, and so he stayed with Elle through all the pain. That should have been WAY more dramatic...and tense...and sexual...than it was. So he's using her and she is fighting him only to give up because she's in too much pain, and maybe he's never had a victim just give up like that, but that's got to be a serious moment for him.

And frankly, considering the way Elle jumped on Peter, I don't think she would have hesitated to jump on Sylar if she wanted to/found it useful, no matter how much she'd hate herself afterward.

(I'm so sick of blondes on this show btw. Can't they find a red head or something?)

Then she keeps zapping his clothes off, like the writers get the scene should have been sort of sexual, but all they can think of doing is taking his clothes off.

Isn't it your birthday? Happy Birthday! If it is.

Thank you. I totally agree.

This show would be better on Showtime.

But you'd need a female writer to write Elle/Sylar in chains scene...otherwise it would just end up all wrong.
